Busy Bee

I only started my blog last month and I'm already slacking on my posts. Lots to talk about though so it's time I updated you. First of all I thought it would be good to show you what I did with another pair of Clare's fine silver charms. These lovely hearts I hung on Bali silver ear wires and decorated with dusky pink quartz nuggets. I love the results!

Then I got a big package of gems that I had ordered and got busy creating for the Christmas period. I've called these earrings 'Falling Leaves' and have wire-wrapped smoky quartz briolettes and then finished them with rich brown keshi pearls. I'm planning on making a necklace to match this week.

I've made quite a few Christmassy pieces in the last week and added a section on my website (www.rococo-jewellery.co.uk) called Festive Treats so that people can immediately find something that would make a great gift. One of my favourites is this necklace called Ophelia. Here I have wire-wrapped a stunning Rhodocrosite pendant and hung it from a hand-forged sterling silver ring decorated with Labradorite and Rhodocrosite roundel beads. The piece is hung from a Thai silver flower-printed chain and the result is a beautifully decorative necklace.
